Spanish Sangria: Katie & Denis
Katie & Denis greeted Culinary Couples members in the beautiful city of Barcelona with pitchers of sparking, white, and red Spanish Sangria, topped with a build your own fruit bar!
While we were enjoying our drinks, a giant storm rolled in, making the seas too rough to sail, and delaying our departure for about an hour. Lucky for us, the pitchers were still flowing!
When the storm finally subsided, we made our way onto the ship - Welcome Aboard!!!
And, since drinks on cruises can be pretty pricey, we even smuggled some Barcelona beers on board for later!
Recipe:
Dry red Spanish wine (I used Tempranillo)
Dry white Spanish wine
Cava sparkling Spanish wine
Club soda
Fruits:
Lemon – round slices
Lime – round slices
Orange – round slides
Apples – large chop
Pears – large chop
Plums – large chop
Peaches – large chop
Blueberries
Muddle lemon, lime and orange in bottle of pitcher, add fruit of choice
and one bottle of wine (red, white or sparkling). Then add splash of club soda.
Note: This is what I did, BUT I think it would have been WAY better to
make these in advance and let them sit overnight so that the wine and fruit
could really soak in together. Next time
will be better.
